Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost?
The cost is dependent on your age and coverage, our average premium is between $100-$200 USD a month but it is highly flexible. Fill out the form to get a breakdown of all the deductibles and cost.
Where do the policies work?
The policies work worldwide excluding Balkans, Belarus, Burma, Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Zimbabwe. The updated exclusion list is based on the United State Treasury’s list of sanctioned countries found here.
Are Preexisting conditions covered?
For long term health, it depends on the severity of a condition. A doctor will review your medical history and see what kind of risk you pose to the insurer and then make an offer to you for coverage. An offer may exclude only that condition, it may have a higher deductible for the condition, or they may accept it as is. One thing to note, the more medical history you have about a condition, the higher chance you have of it being a better offer, insurance companies will always assume the worse case scenario if you do not provide documentation.
Many of our Medical Evacuation and Travel Insurance policies are able to cover preexisting conditions as their policies are meant for emergencies, not treatment of a long term conditions.
Who are your providers?
For healthcare products: IMG, VUMI, WEA, Premier Health, AirmedEvac. We also have a larger variety of products for Mexico through our partner Novamar including: Homeowners, Auto, Boat, and Commercial. If you are interested in these products fill out the form and mention your interest to our broker.
What is the max age to be able to apply for healthcare?
85 for long term healthcare, but once you are on the plan you can keep it for life. For short term and medical evacuation there are no age limits.
Do I have to take a healthcare exam?
Depending on the provider you will have to have a doctors exam if you are over the age of 60 or 65. The insurance companies will refund between $50 usd – $65 for the visit depending on the provider.
